tomato

Tomatoes come in an assortment of colors, shapes, and sizes. They can be sweet, acidic, oblong, round, yellow, red, or even purple. Menu wise, tomatoes are a very versatile ingredient.

From salsas to salads, sandwiches to pastas, there are a plethora of meal choices that encompass tomatoes. If you want to enjoy big, juicy tomatoes, you may want to consider planting from a Goliath Tomato Seed.

Why this tomato is called Goliath:

Goliath is Philistine Warrior famously remembered from the account in the Bible book of 1 Samuel Chapter 17. In the account, the massive warrior was killed by the mere Shepherd boy, David, who faithfully credited the victory to God. Why? Goliath was rightly considered a giant, at 9 and half feet tall!

While the average tomato is about 1.8 – 2.0 oz, Goliath tomatoes can grow to 1 to 3 pounds. As indicated by their name, they are known for their giant size.

Growing Goliath Tomato Seeds

Goliath tomato seeds can be very adaptable to their surroundings. They are not only very flavorful and pleasing to the palate, but they also have fewer seeds than other tomato varieties.

Some types of Goliath tomato seeds produce giant tomato plants that date back to the 1800’s. People were enjoying the massive fruit and flavorful taste then, and you’ll enjoy growing it in your organic garden too!
